Description
In the Russian capital, you can find a significant religious landmark of the Armenian Apostolic Church—the Armenian Cathedral Complex. This complex includes the residence of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Russia and New Nakhichevan, the Church of the Holy Cross, the Cathedral of the Transfiguration, and a guest house with a large dining hall for visitors. Beneath the cathedral, there is a museum with relics of saints and various historical church artifacts. The complex also has a shop selling Armenian products.
The Armenian Cathedral Complex was consecrated in 2013. The ceremony was attended by high-ranking religious leaders and prominent public figures. On that day, the new church was gifted a revered relic—a piece of the Holy Cross. The consecration of the Armenian Church in Moscow, located on Olimpiyskiy Avenue, was dedicated to the Transfiguration of the Lord ("Surb Paytsarakerputyun").
