Description

The Church of the Holy Mother of God in Vedi, Masyatsotn Diocese, was built in 2001 on the site of an old, half-ruined chapel and was consecrated by His Eminence Archbishop Navasard Kchoyan; Vicar of the Araratyan Pontifical Diocese.

Benefactors of the church are Mr. Edgar and Mr. Kolya Shaboyans.

In the yard of the church there are four cross-stones, one of them belongs to  the 7th century, and the other is dedicated to the memory of the martyred heroes in all wars of Artsakh.

The administrative district of the church community includes the enlarged community of Vedi.

The churches in the Nor Kyank and Vosketap settlements are under construction.

There are women’s and youth's unions, as well as a Sunday school in the church community.

Every Sunday, the church initiates a Bible study lessons, as well as Sunday school classes. 

Divine Liturgy is celebrated every Sunday and main feasts.
